Kadokawa announces the establishment of Studio KADAN, a new studio for 3DCG and VFX animation

Kadokawa Group of Japan, whose businesses cover games, novels, animation and other fields, announced today on June 1 that it will officially enter the 3DCG VFX (visual effects) animation field and establish a new studio Studio KADAN. The core leader is the famous director Hiroyuki Seshita, who has produced works such as "Knights of Sidonia" and "BLAME!"

It is reported that with the continuous development of the animation industry, more and more full 3DCG animations are emerging, and various VFX (visual effects) technologies including 3DCG animations are playing a vital role in games, animation, movies, advertising and other fields. As a leading company in the animation and game field, Kadokawa Group needs to start its pace in this field as soon as possible. The establishment of the new studio Studio KADAN is based on this consideration.
