Schwarzenegger, 73, to star in Netflix spy series

Schwarzenegger, 73, has joined Netflix's untitled spy series, which is also his first TV series starring him since his debut.

Hollywood actress Monica Barbaro joins the show, playing Schwarzenegger's daughter. The story tells of a father and daughter who learn that they have each secretly served as CIA agents for many years, and discover that their relationship is a lie and they don't know each other at all. They are then forced to form a team to carry out a mission. Obviously, this setting is very reminiscent of the 1994 movie "True Lies" starring Schwarzenegger.

Old and young

The eight-episode spy drama was created by Nick Santora, who worked on Netflix's Jack Reacher and The Fugitive. He will serve as producer and executive producer alongside Schwarzenegger.
