According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner will no longer shoot the DC movie "Wonder Woman 3". The filming plan of this film is no longer in Warner Film and Television's future development plan, and the series may end here. While DC Studios will continue to grow in the future, new bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran have recently spent some time "deeply planning" the DC blueprint and have developed an ongoing plan that they are ready to submit to Warner Bros. Exploration CEO David Zaslav for approval, but there is no "Wonder Woman 3" in these plans. Industry insiders claim that the third "Wonder Woman" starring Gal Gadot has been canceled. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenkins, the director of the Wonder Woman series, recently submitted the script for Wonder Woman 3, which he co-wrote with Geoff Johns. However, Gunn, Safran, and Warner Bros. Pictures co-CEOs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy told Jenkins that the film did not fit into DC Films' new plans. Jenkins directed two Wonder Woman films, an original story in 2017 and the 2020 sequel Wonder Woman 1984, both starring Gal Gadot. In addition, Gadot also played Wonder Woman in several DC movies in the "Snyder Universe", such as Batman v Superman and Justice League. The report said that DC's new plan may be to stop the "Snyder Universe" and cut off "Man of Steel 2" starring Henry Cavill and the "Aquaman" series starring Jason Momoa. Both characters will make cameos in the upcoming "The Flash". It wouldn't be premature to announce Cavill's return as Superman, as there are already plans for sequels and even a Justice League movie starring the "Snyderverse" actors. But Gunn and Safran's plans may cut them out entirely, as well as the Black Adam sequel. |
