"Knights of Sidonia" (also known as: The Legend of the Galaxy Knights) is a manga by Japanese manga artist Tsutomu Nihei that has been serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Afternoon" since 2009. The story is set 1,000 years after the mysterious life forms called Kijuku in the solar system have been destroyed. The protagonist, Nagamichi Tani, who lives on the seeding ship Sidonia that maintains human reproduction and production and flies in space, becomes a trainee operator of the giant humanoid weapon "Guardian". The work tells the story of the protagonist and his companions fighting against Kijuku.
