The live-action version of the movie "Mortal Kombat" has been postponed to April 23

Today (March 31), according to IGN, the live-action version of "Mortal Kombat" was postponed from the original April 16 to April 23.

HBO announced the postponement of the release date of the live-action version of "Mortal Kombat" in a press release sent to IGN, but did not explain why the release date was postponed by a week. According to Warner Media's strategy, the live-action version of "Mortal Kombat" will be released on HBO Max and in theaters in two forms.

The "Mortal Kombat" movie is adapted from the fighting game of the same name. In this film, Ludi Lin plays the Shaolin monk Liu Kang, Meiqing Huang plays the Shaolin monk Kung Lao, Jinghan Huang plays Shang Chong, Tadanobu Asano plays Raiden, Hiroyuki Sanada plays Scorpion, Lewis Tan plays the new character Cole Young, Joe Taslim plays Absolute Zero, Australian rising star Sisi Stringe plays Mileena, Mehcad Brooks plays the special forces soldier Jackson Jax Briggs, Jessica McNamee plays Sonya Blade, and Josh Lawson plays Kano.
