CLAMP's famous "Tokyo Babylon" animation production suspended due to the animation company suspected of plagiarism

The TV animation production of CLAMP's masterpiece "Tokyo Babylon" which was released in October last year caused a great response. Today, March 29, this animation once again caused a stir in the industry and became a hot topic. However, the suspension of production surprised fans, and at the same time they were sad that CLAMP was innocently caught in the crossfire because the animation company was suspected of multiple plagiarisms.

Tokyo Babylon is a manga serialized by CLAMP in South and Monthly Wings since 1990. The original story is centered on the protagonist Subaru Sumeru, his sister Hokuto Sumeru, and Sakurazuka Seishirou. It describes the Imperial family that has been protecting Japan in the spiritual realm since ancient times and commanding all Onmyoji. As the 13th head of the family, Subaru Sumeru is busy solving supernatural events every day.

Although the animation has been produced for the most part, the official committee suddenly announced today that the production will be suspended indefinitely because it was found that a lot of plagiarism appeared in the animation, including the character clothing settings and other places. According to previous reports, the animation was produced by GoHands. Now with the exposure of the scandal, the production of "Tokyo Babylon" animation has been suspended, and the official website will be completely closed on April 30. At present, the official has not disclosed when the animation will be re-produced.
