The "Lord of the Rings" trilogy will be re-screened in China starting from April 9

The re-screening of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy in China has finally been scheduled! This re-screening is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the "Lord of the Rings" series, and it is also the first public release of the "4K digital restoration version" which will be released in succession from April 9th.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring will be released in Digital 3D/IMAX 3D on April 9

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Digital 3D/IMAX 3D will be released on April 16

The Lord of the Rings: Rise of the King Digital 3D/IMAX 3D will be released on April 23

The global box office of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was 888 million US dollars, 943 million US dollars and 1.142 billion US dollars respectively. The box office in the mainland that year was 56.2 million yuan (the runner-up of the year list), 24 million yuan (the 11th of the year list) and 86.3 million yuan (the 4th of the year list). The total global box office of the trilogy reached 2.91 billion US dollars, setting a record for the highest box office of the trilogy that year. The trilogy received a total of 30 Oscar nominations and won 17, setting a record for the highest number of trilogies in history. Among them, the third part won 11 out of 11 nominations, making the Oscar ratings that year reach 43.531 million, the highest between 2000 and 2014.
