■ Main Characters

Shintaro Makai is a teacher who was appointed to Amanohara Girls' Academy. He is also the captain of the Lime Squad, which is made up of students from Amanohara Girls' Academy. He has experience working as a diplomat in Russia.
・Sanada Her cotton hair tied up in a ribbon and maid-style clothes make her look like a young girl. She seems to have a cheerful personality and may still be a bit childish. However, she should be able to show her inner strength when the time comes...
・Sarasa Honda The Vietnamese national dress, Ao Dai, accentuates her sexy figure. Her strong-willed expression suggests a haughty personality, but...
・Kato Asa With her short hair and culottes, she has a boyish vibe. She's a girl who makes everyone around her feel happy with her energetic behavior.
・Fukushima She looks great in her silk shrine maiden-style hakama and glasses. From the outside, she seems like a very serious person, but surprisingly, deep inside she has a fiery passion...!?
Kuroda Rinko: Her long black hair and layered 12-layered kimono look are very old-fashioned. Her clothes seem out of this world, but could she be the young lady of a wealthy family?

■ Review

"Lime-Iro Senkitan: Tropical Dream Romance" is an OVA released in 2004, based on the R-18 game "Lime-Iro Senkitan" by Satoru Akahori. This work depicts the story after the TV anime version, and is a long-awaited sequel for fans. Although it is a short episode of only two episodes, it depicts a dense story and character growth.

The story depicts how the young ladies of the Raimu Squadron visit a southern island under the pretext of repairing the battleship Amanohara, learn of a legend of love associated with Gogyo Shrine, and fall in love. Taking advantage of the OVA format, the series delves deeper into the feelings and relationships of the characters that could not be fully depicted in the TV anime. In particular, the young ladies' feelings for Shintaro Makai are at the center of the story, and there are many scenes in which the individual personalities of each character stand out.

The character designs are by Mayumi Watanabe, based on the original ideas of Naoki Honda. Each character's personality is reflected in their clothing and expressions, making for a visual treat. In particular, each character's background and personality are beautifully expressed, such as in Sanada Momen's maid-style outfit and Kuroda Rinko's 12-layered kimono.

The music is also one of the charms of this work. The opening theme "Rinka" is sung by members of the Lime Corps, and has a refreshing and powerful melody that leaves a strong impression. The ending theme "Gakuen Tengoku" is a fusion of nostalgia and newness, enhancing the atmosphere of the work. Many of the insert songs also reflect the feelings of each character, allowing you to empathize with them more as the story progresses.

The production staff is also impressive, with a gathering of industry-leading creators, including director Yuki Suzuki, screenwriters Satoru Akahori and Hideaki Koyasu, and animation directors Mayumi Watanabe, Yusuke Kamata, and Takahiro Takegami. Their efforts have brought out the best in the original work, creating a work that will move viewers.

The cast is also impressive, with the voice actors' performances bringing out the charm of the characters, including Shinichiro Miki as Shintaro Makai, Ai Shimizu as Momen Sanada, and Tsubasa Otomiya as Sarasa Honda. In particular, the performances that delicately express the feelings of each character leave a deep impression on the viewers.

This work is attractive for its dense story and character growth that makes the most of the OVA format. It is a must-see sequel for fans, and viewers who are new to the work will enjoy the fascinating story and characters. This work, which depicts a love story on a southern island, is a wonderful work that will provide viewers with emotion and healing.
