The official EVA final animated film condemns the candid filming and will take legal action

The much-anticipated "Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo" was officially released on March 8 and received extremely strong positive reviews. Of course, it also attracted the attention of criminals. On March 13, Khara Studio officially issued a statement saying that it had confirmed multiple cases of voyeurism in cinemas and that it would resort to legal action.

"Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 You Can Do It" is directed by Hideaki Anno and produced by Khara Studio. It is the fourth part of the Evangelion Tetralogy, which is a reconstruction of "Evangelion". The story takes place in the red, deserted Paris, where WILLE, centered on Wunder, sends a crew led by Ritsuko to try to restore the city.

"Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 You Can (Not) Advance" was released in Japan on March 8.

Khara Studio Statement:

A pirated version of "Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo" which is currently in theaters has been discovered online.

Taking secret photos in a movie theater is a crime.

In addition, uploading pirated copies to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and other media is an infringement of intellectual property rights.

These violations are punishable by imprisonment of not more than 10 years or a fine of not more than 10 million yen, or both.

Our company will not be lenient in dealing with such behavior.

The suspect in the voyeurism case that occurred in July 2018 has been prosecuted.

Our company will work with Toho and Toei to actively deal with this voyeuristic filming incident.
