Writer says Stranger Things Season 5 will start writing soon

Stranger Things writers Ross and Matt Duffer recently revealed when they will begin writing the script for Season 5.

“We’re going to take a break in July,” Ross told Collider. “Then we’ll be back. I understand the writers’ block will start the first week of August.”

It is worth noting that the production of the fourth season of the series took several years to officially begin due to the epidemic. From pre-production to the trailer in 2020 to the finished product, this season took about three years to air.

It has been confirmed that season 5 will be the show's last, although the Duffer brothers hinted at the possibility of spinoff series, saying in a statement: "There are more exciting stories to tell in the world of Stranger Things: new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes."

"We did have an outline for Season 5, and we gave it to Netflix, and they responded really well," Matt Duffer previously told The Wrap. "I mean, it was hard. It was the end of the story. I saw executives crying, and I've never seen them cry before, and it was crazy."
