In the early 2000s, British director Christopher Nolan achieved great success with his "Dark Knight Trilogy", but it seemed that he did not want to return to superhero movies after "Batman". In an interview with YouTube channel Hugo Décrypte, Nolan answered a series of questions, including whether he would still be making movies in 10 years ("yes") and whether he would make TV series ("no"). When asked if he wanted to direct another superhero movie after Batman, Christopher Nolan responded with a short and simple "No." But that doesn't mean Nolan will necessarily give up on big-budget movies. When asked if he wanted to make a "Star Wars" movie, Nolan paused for a long time, obviously thinking. Finally, he said briefly: "This question is pass." I don't shoot TV series, I don't play Tik Tok, I don't mind watching movies on my phone or computer Nolan, of course, has plenty of experience with science fiction films. His most notable films include Inception and Interstellar, both of which began with relatively realistic concepts before quickly moving into the realm of fantasy. Notably, he is a fan of Star Wars, and he has had some interesting conversations with George Lucas about the series. In a 2014 interview, Nolan admitted that he was nervous about directing a Star Wars movie. "As for whether I would do it, to be honest, I think I would be too scared to do it! He boldly went ahead with Star Trek, which took a lot of courage," Nolan said before The Force Awakens was released. "I'm more comfortable doing my own thing than having the whole world's expectations on my shoulders - especially someone like me who's in my forties and is very concerned about every new piece of information about Star Wars." Currently, Nolan is still focusing on war films centered around World War II, with his last two films including Dunkirk and Oppenheimer. Christian Bale once said that he would return to Batman if Nolan was involved. The next Batman movie is "Brave and the Bold," which is expected to be released in 2025. As for "Oppenheimer," it will be released on July 21. |
