Toei and Saudi Arabian animation company announce new animation to be released on April 4

Toei Animation announced today on March 31 that it has partnered with Saudi Arabia's Manga Productions animation company to bring the Saudi original animation work "Asateer: Folk Tales of the Future" to Japan, and will be broadcast on April 4. The voice actor of Son Goku, Masako Nozawa, has been confirmed to join as the starring role, so stay tuned.

"Asateer: Folk Tales of the Future" is set in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia in 2050, and tells the story of an old woman and her three grandchildren who spread folk tales around the Arabian Peninsula.

Manga Productions itself, "Asateer: Folk Tales of the Future" has been broadcast on various TV stations in the Middle East and received rave reviews. This time, it is introduced to Japan and cooperates with Toei in the hope of bringing Saudi culture to East Asia.
