According to the French film website AlloCiné, the live-action drama "A Plague Tale" will be directed by Mathieu Turi and filmed in France by Merlin Productions. Mathieu Turi was an assistant director for Quentin's "Inglourious Basterds" and Luc Besson's "Lucy", and then directed two well-received horror films "Hostile" and "Meandering". Interestingly, Fabrice Renault, head of Merlin Productions, confirmed that A Plague Tale developer Asobo Studio had received an offer from an American producer, but Asobo wanted to make the live-action series in France. Considering the importance of French landmarks and history to the game, it makes sense to shoot in France. A Plague Tale was released on Steam in May 2019 and received “very positive reviews” from players. It fully supports Steam Deck. Developer Asobo Studio later developed Microsoft Flight Simulator, which was released on Steam in April 2020 and received “mostly positive reviews” from players. It does not support Steam Deck. A Plague Tale sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem, is in production and is expected to be released sometime this year. A Plague Tale: |
