HBO Max produces new Batman spin-off to tell the rise of villain Penguin

According to film and television media Variety, HBO max is planning to shoot a Batman spin-off series. The story will revolve around the rise of Batman's villain "Penguin" in Gotham. It is reported that Colin Farrell, who played the villain Penguin in Matt Reeves' "Batman", has expressed his intention to star in the show, but the two parties have not yet signed a cooperation agreement.

According to Variety reporters, Matt Reeves and Batman producer Dylan Clark will serve as producers of the series. Colin Farrell will also play the role of the Penguin in the new "Batman" to be released next year, but Farrell said the Penguin only has 5 to 6 shots in the film.
