Japan's "Manga Awards 2021" announced that "The Burial of Frillian" topped the list

The Japanese "Manga Award 2021" selection, which is mainly composed of bookstore clerks, reviewed the most influential masterpieces of the year and decided by voting which popular comics they want to recommend, announced the results of the selection today on March 16. The dark horse work "The Burial of Frillian" won the grand prize.

The Manga Awards has been held since 2008, and this year is the 14th. The selection objects are single-volume works published between January 1 and December 31, 2020, excluding works that have won the Manga Awards in the past, and medium-length and short-length manga works with a maximum number of 8 volumes.

Champion "The Burial of Frillen" is a manga written by Yamada Zhongren and drawn by Atsukasa. It tells the story of the magician Frillen who is one of the heroes who defeated the devil. As a long-lived elf, she doesn't know why she is so sad about the death of the hero, and together with her new partner, she begins a journey to "understand humans".
