According to the China Film Data Network, the movie "Avatar" has been scheduled to be re-released in mainland China, and the re-release will also include an IMAX 3D version.

"Avatar" is an epic science fiction film released in 2009 (released in mainland China on January 2, 2010), written and directed by James Cameron, with main actors including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez and Stephen Lang.

The film is set in 2154, when humans are mining the rare mineral Unobtanium on the ecologically lush moon Pandora in the Alpha Centauri star system. The expansion of the mining colony threatens the survival of the local tribe, the Na'vi: a sentient, intelligent humanoid race native to Pandora. The title of the film, "Avatar," refers to the genetically modified bodies of the Na'vi that can be controlled by some humans, who use them to communicate with the natives of Pandora.

Jack, a former navy soldier who was paralyzed from the waist down after being wounded in battle, decided to come to Pandora in place of his dead brother and manipulate the "Avatar" hybrid creature created by Dr. Grace by combining human genes with the genes of the local Na'vi tribe. Jack's goal is to infiltrate the Na'vi tribe and persuade them to voluntarily leave their homes where they have lived for generations, so that SecFor can cut down all the virgin forests in the area and mine the expensive "unavailable" minerals underground.

While exploring Pandora, Jack met Nadiri, the princess of the Na'vi tribe, and learned from her the Na'vi people's survival skills and attitude towards nature. At the same time, SecFor's manager and military representative Colonel Miles gradually lost patience and decided to resort to force to drive away the Na'vi...

"Avatar 2" will be released in North America on December 16, 2022, and the other film release dates are: "Avatar 3" on December 20, 2024, "Avatar 4" on December 18, 2026, and "Avatar 5" on December 22, 2028.
