The "Mortal Kombat" movie will be built into a Marvel-style universe in the future

According to the producer of the "Mortal Kombat" movie, the prototype of a Marvel-style movie universe is already in the planning, and the upcoming "Mortal Kombat" movie may be the first step in this plan.

Producer Todd Garner said that the world view of "Mortal Kombat" is extremely large, just like the boundless Marvel Universe. So they will build the entire series in the way of the Marvel Universe. This means that many familiar faces in the "Mortal Kombat" series in the past are likely to be included in future sequels, including those characters that have been hidden.

As the latest film in the series, the new "Mortal Kombat" movie invited James Wan to be the producer. In the latest trailer, we can even see that the complete finishing move scene in the game is retained in the movie.

"Mortal Kombat Destruction" will be released in North America on April 16 and will be available on HBO Max simultaneously.
