Netflix fantasy series "The Sun Calls" releases Chinese subtitle trailer

Netflix's fantasy series "Shadow and Bone", adapted from a novel, recently released a Chinese subtitled trailer. The series, starring "The Chronicles of Narnia 2" actor Ben Barnes and British actress Jessie May Lee, tells the story of a kingdom shrouded in darkness and a strange woman who can summon light.

"Summary of the Sun" tells the story of the western side of the Kingdom of Lavka being isolated by a terrifying black curtain lurking with terrible monsters. Hundreds of years ago, the Dark Lord created the black curtain but could not control it. It devoured the land and isolated the outside world. Someone would always sacrifice themselves if someone tried to forcibly cross the black curtain. Even the Grisha warriors with special powers could not break it.

An orphan named Alina was accidentally discovered to have the power to summon light, and summoning sunlight is the key to breaking the dark curtain. The powerful Dark Lord deceived her and made her a Grisha warrior and a member of the privileged class, but she had to leave her childhood sweetheart Mal and enter the court.

Alina tries to adapt to her new life, but at the same time, threats to Lavka are growing...

Call of the Sun will be released on April 23, exclusively on Netflix.
