Zawe Ashton to play villain in Captain Marvel 2: Report

According to Deadline, Zawe Ashton (Velvet Buzzsaw, Doctor Who) will star in Captain Marvel 2. Disney and Marvel Studios have not officially announced it, but the media learned from sources that Zawe Ashton will play the villain in the film as a co-star.

Captain Marvel 2 will be released as part of Marvel's fourth phase on November 11, 2022, and there is currently little news. The film will be released after Thor: Love and Thunder and Black Panther 2.

According to Deadline, Captain Marvel 2 will be directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman). Megan McDonnell, the screenwriter of Disney+'s new series WandaVision, will write the script for Captain Marvel 2. But no details about the script have been revealed yet. Teyonah Parris, who played the adult version of Monica Rambeau in WandaVision, will also star in the movie.
