Godzilla and King Kong's height growth history: Handsome guy grew more than 100 meters in 1988

The first official trailer of "Godzilla vs. Kong" was released recently. This year marks 88 years since the first "King Kong" movie and 67 years since the first "Godzilla" movie. How much have the two big screen monsters King Kong and Godzilla grown over the years? For this reason, the Fandom website has made a height change chart for reference.

In 2021, both King Kong and Godzilla seem to have grown to 400 feet, or about 121 meters. This height is not much better than today's skyscrapers. Compare the places where they fought: Hong Kong's tallest International Commerce Center is 484 meters, the International Financial Center Phase II is 420 meters, and the more famous Bank of China Tower is 367 meters.

When "King Kong" was first created in 1933, the director envisioned that King Kong's height was about 12.2 meters to 15.5 meters; in 2017's "King Kong: Skull Island", the height was set at 100 feet, or about 30 meters.

The first Godzilla movie was released in 1954, with a height of 50 meters. King Kong vs. Godzilla was released in 1962, when the two monsters met on the big screen for the first time. King Kong was set to be slightly shorter than Godzilla, about 45 meters.
