Film Bureau: Will increase efforts to introduce foreign films

Film Bureau: Will increase efforts to introduce foreign films

On May 15, at the roundtable event of "Global Promotion Plan of Chinese Youth Films" at the Cannes China Pavilion, Mao Yu, executive deputy director of the Film Bureau, expressed the need to increase efforts to introduce foreign films.

"The quantity and quality of imported films currently cannot meet the expectations of the Chinese film market and audiences. We will uphold an open and inclusive mind, optimize film import policies, encourage and support import business, and make the countries more diverse and the genres richer. This will allow Chinese audiences to see the best films in the world."
