Famous Japanese cartoonist Fujiko Fujio A Su-soo Abe passed away at the age of 88

According to a report by Japan's Tokyo TV TBS News today (April 7), Japanese police said that the famous Japanese cartoonist Fujiko Fujio A, whose real name is Abiko Motoo, died this morning at his home in Kawasaki City at the age of 88.

Abiko Motoo was born in Himi City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan in 1934. Later, he and cartoonist Fujimoto Hiroshi, also known as Fujiko F. Fujio, jointly created comic works under the pen name Fujiko Fujio. Fujiko F. Fujio is the author of the famous comic "Doraemon". The two broke up in 1984 due to creative differences. After that, Abiko Motoo continued to create under Fujiko Fujio A. The two collaborated on famous works such as "Little Devil Q Taro", and his own independent works include more mature works such as "Ninja Hattori-kun" and "Black Salesman".

At Fujiko F. Fujio's funeral in 1996, he was asked if he would continue to write Doraemon, to which he responded: "That is the type of work I cannot draw."
