'Oppenheimer' surpasses 'Bohemian Rhapsody' to become highest-grossing biopic in history

Today (September 18), DTF quoted The Hollywood Reporter as saying that the movie "Oppenheimer" has surpassed the Queen biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody" to become the highest-grossing biopic in history. "Oppenheimer" grossed $912.7 million, while "Bohemian Rhapsody" grossed $910.8 million.

"Oppenheimer" is a biographical film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Cillian Murphy. It will be released in North America on July 21, 2023 and in mainland China on August 30.

The film is adapted from the book "American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedies of Oppenheimer" by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. It tells the story of how Robert Oppenheimer, the "Father of the Atomic Bomb" of the United States, led the development of the atomic bomb during World War II, and the story of the unfair hearing he encountered after the end of World War II.
