The Mortal Kombat movie may be rated R and include a complete finishing move in the game

The new Mortal Kombat movie was announced back in 2019, and most fans were not very excited. The 1995 Mortal Kombat movie was fun, but it was pretty campy, so what could the new movie bring? First of all, the new Mortal Kombat movie has a lot of violence and bloodshed.

According to an interview with Mortal Kombat director Simon McQuaid in Entertainment Weekly, the new movie "will definitely not be PG-13" and unlike the 1995 movie, audiences will see the complete finishing moves from the game in the movie.

Simon McQuaid, director of "Mortal Kombat", said in an interview: "There are some crazy finishing moves in (Mortal Kombat). We have selected several iconic examples. The audience will see a lot of cool iconic finishing moves. There are many Easter eggs we secretly put in the film. There are also some super awesome finishing moves. I can't wait to see them on the big screen. These finishing moves are cruel, guys, there will be no compromise on these finishing moves."

Mortal Kombat will premiere on HBO Max on April 16, simultaneously with its theatrical release.
