Bruce Willis' condition continues to worsen, diagnosed with dementia

Last March, Hollywood action star Bruce Willis announced his retirement from the entertainment industry due to aphasia. Recently, his family issued a statement saying that Bruce Willis' condition continued to deteriorate and has developed from aphasia to frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

Frontotemporal dementia is a dementia syndrome characterized by progressive mental and behavioral abnormalities, executive dysfunction, and language dysfunction. It is currently the second most common neurodegenerative dementia in clinical practice after Alzheimer's disease and Lewy body dementia, and is also one of the main causes of early-onset dementia.

In a joint statement, Willis' wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore and their children expressed their gratitude to friends who cared about Willis and expressed their love. They said that communication difficulties were just one of the symptoms of the disease, and told everyone that the disease could not be cured. They hoped that this painful disease could be conquered in the future, and hoped that everyone would pay attention to this disease.

Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955. He became famous in the 1980s for starring in "Blind Date" and "Die Hard". In the 1990s, he starred in movies such as "Armageddon", "Pulp Fiction" and "The Sixth Sense".
