"Journey to the West: The Demon King Reborn" will present a different world of Journey to the West, with exciting plots and fighting scenes as the biggest attraction. The film will break the audience's traditional perception of the Journey to the West story, creating an image of Sun Wukong who is strong and brave but not accepted. Director Wang Yunfei introduced that "Journey to the West: The Demon King Reborn" is a brand new story derived from the original work. In addition to the significant innovations in the character design and modeling of the main characters such as Sun Wukong, the main plot will be more compact. In terms of visual presentation, the production team adheres to the creative viewpoint of "based on tradition, creating Chinese ancient style", and strictly refers to the elements of Tang Dynasty costumes, utensils, architecture and other elements for drawing and modeling, so as to have a basis to rely on; at the same time, boldly use imagination, draw on the freehand style of traditional Chinese painting and Danxia geological landforms to create oriental aesthetic scenes.
