Fishing boats vs. warships! Hayao Miyazaki's early masterpiece "The Poorest Front" is confirmed to be made into a stage play

Every work of Mr. Hayao Miyazaki, the master of animation, is very popular. However, not many fans probably know about this early masterpiece "The Poorest Front". Today, it was officially announced that "The Poorest Front" will be produced as a stage play. How should the story of a small fishing boat challenging an American warship be performed on stage?

"The Poorest Front" is an early original work by Hayao Miyazaki, published in the model magazine "Monthly Model Illustrated" from 1980 to 1990, entitled "Hayao Miyazaki's Miscellaneous Notes". It tells the story of a Japanese fishing boat that was specially recruited to adventure into the deep ocean in order to detect the movements of American warships at the end of the Pacific War.

There is no news about the remake of "The Poorest Front", but it is confirmed that a stage play will be produced and is scheduled to start in August 2019. The starring role will be Uchino Masaaki. Fans of Hayao Miyazaki's works can pay attention to this unpopular masterpiece.
