Simu Liu celebrates the completion of Shang-Chi with a long article: Hollywood will no longer ignore Asians

Marvel's Asian superhero movie "Shang-Chi" was completed on October 25. Recently, the lead actor Simu Liu posted a long article to celebrate the completion of "Shang-Chi". He said that Hollywood will no longer ignore Asians after this.

Shang-Chi star Simu Liu wrote in a long post in a private Facebook group: "After this (Shang-Chi), Hollywood can no longer ignore us (Asians). Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has wrapped! In nine months, we will break records and make history as the first superhero movie with an all-Asian cast. Okay, not all Asian actors, but seriously, this movie is fun."

To all of you out there who hate the color of their skin, or feel inferior because of the color of their skin, this is not going to happen anymore. This is our movie, and Hollywood can’t ignore us after this. See you then. But I’ll probably see you sooner because I’m always here for you, so let’s fucking go!”

"Shang-Chi" is Marvel's first solo Chinese superhero movie. It also stars Awkwafina, Tony Leung, and others. Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen, and Florian Mutlu are also reported to be participating (not yet confirmed). It is currently scheduled to be released in North America on July 9, 2021.
