"King Kong River" set a new record for domestic films with 158,400 screenings on the first day

Today (October 22), according to Maoyan Professional Edition statistics, the movie "King Kong River" had 158,400 screenings on the first day, breaking the record for the number of screenings on the first day of a domestic film! The bloody battle will be released tomorrow (October 23)!

Previously, the record for the first-day screenings of a domestic film was held by "Love" with 158,300 screenings on December 31, 2019, and has now been broken by "The Battle at Lake Changjin" with 158,400 screenings.

"King Kong River" commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army's participation in the Korean War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, and tells a little-known story of the war. According to the plot synopsis, the film tells a story from three perspectives: the engineer bridge was repaired, then blown up, and then repaired again... a war miracle that stood firm and puzzled the enemy.
