Female Spider-Man? Foreign media claims Sony is creating a "Spider-Man" series

There have been rumors for a long time that Sony plans to expand the Spider-Man universe and create multiple films. The more credible ones are the independent films of the heroine "Jackpot" and Spider-Man's nemesis "Kraven the Hunter". According to the latest report from Variety, Sony is developing a "Silk" series.

Silk's real name is Cindy Moon, a Korean-American. She was bitten by the same spider that bit Peter Parker when she was a teenager, which gave her similar abilities to the Amazing Spider-Man, namely spider sense, spider climbing ability, and the ability to shoot spider silk from her fingers. She has a stronger spider sense than Spider-Man and can even locate Peter Parker across parallel universes.

According to Variety, Sony is in talks with Lauren Moon, the screenwriter of "Good Trouble" and "Atypical," to take over the scriptwriting work for the "Spider-Woman" series.

It should be noted that the role of Cindy appeared in both Avengers: Infinity War and Spider-Man: Homecoming, played by Tiffany Espensen. If the TV version of "Spider-Man" is officially launched, it is not yet known whether she will continue to play the role.
