Kirsten Dunst: I would never say no to returning to Spider-Man

Kirsten Dunst, the first-generation Spider-Man girlfriend, expressed her openness to returning to the Spider-Man world at the American Film Institute Film Festival (AFI Fest), saying, "I would never say no to something like that."

It has been 14 years since Dunst last played Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man series. She said, "I'd be old MJ at this point with little Spidey babies." The girlfriend of Holland's Spider-Man is also called MJ, whose full name is Michelle Jones, not the original Mary Jane.

Dunst made her debut as Mary Jane in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man in 2002, opposite Tobey Maguire, and went on to appear in Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007).

Dunst, who previously confirmed she would not appear in Spider-Man: No Homecoming, recently played Rose in Jane Campion's Canine Force, the widow of a wealthy rancher in 20th century Montana who is tortured by her brother-in-law Phil (Benedict Cumberbatch).
