Due to its recent re-release in mainland China, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" has recently reported a global cumulative box office of US$1,001.26 million (data as of last weekend), making it the second "Harry Potter" movie to break US$1 billion worldwide, and the 47th movie in global film history to break US$1 billion in box office.

The eight Harry Potter films have grossed a total of $7.74 billion worldwide, with the highest single-film grossing $1.402 billion being Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The eight films have grossed $1.00126 billion, $880 million, $797 million, $897 million, $943 million, $934 million, $989 million, and $1.402 billion worldwide respectively!
