Today (August 2), the official Weibo account of the movie "Eight Hundred" announced that the movie will be officially released on August 21.

The official microblog of the movie "Eight Hundred": On August 21, the movie theater saw the anti-Japanese war film "Eight Hundred" directed by Guan Hu. It can be said that it has a bad fate. The film was originally scheduled to open the Shanghai Film Festival, which just ended, but then the producer Huayi announced that it was "cancelled due to technical reasons." Later, "Eight Hundred" officially announced that it would be withdrawn and will not be released on July 5 during the summer vacation. It is now officially scheduled for August 21.

"The Eight Hundred" is based on the Battle of Shanghai in 1937. It tells the story of a reinforced battalion of the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division of the Third War Zone of the Chinese National Revolutionary Army, known as the "Eight Hundred Heroes", who defended the Sihang Warehouse on the Suzhou River and blocked the Japanese army.
