Brad Pitt will star in Sony Pictures' action film "Bullet Train", which will be directed by David Leitch, the director of "Deadpool 2" and "Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw". Bullet Train is based on the novel Bullet Train by Japanese author Kotaro Isaka. In the novel, five assassins find themselves on a high-speed train traveling from Tokyo to Morioka, with only a few stops in between. They discover that their missions are not unrelated to each other and their motivations conflict. The question is who will get off the train alive and what is waiting for them at the terminal? The action film is described as Keanu Reeves' "Speed" + Liam Neeson's "Speed". Sources said Pitt will play the American killer Ladybug in the film. This is not the first time that Pitt and David Leitch have worked together. The most recent one was Deadpool 2, in which Pitt played the invisible man for only a few seconds. David Leitch is a stunt double and action director. In 2014, he won recognition in the industry for co-directing John Wick. He later directed Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, and Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw. "Shinkansen" will start filming this fall. |
