The sci-fi film "Shanghai Fortress" claimed that "the script was prepared for 6 years and polished for 3 years", and was highly anticipated before its release, but it was criticized by the audience after its release. Hong Kong director Cheng Xiaodong's "Zhu Xian I" lost the essence of martial arts content and the surging spirit of programmatic action movies in its creation.

As for the performances of two popular actors, Xiao Zhan and Meng Meiqi, in "The Legend of Chusen I", the organizing committee gave the following evaluation: Xiao Zhan was unable to give his character personality charm, his performance was too forced, there was no sense of wholeness, and the character became a puppet; Meng Meiqi, on the other hand, performed quite casually, giving the role of Biyao a strong girl group temperament, adding an incongruous immortal style, and being clumsy and alternative in a way that was full of affection and righteousness.
