"Resident Evil 0" will be adapted into a movie: Ada Wong will join the 2025 release

The film will start shooting this year and will be officially announced this fall. The film is a prequel to Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City and will cost $30-40 million to make. Ada Wong will play a central role in the story alongside Billy Cohen. In addition to the prequel film, Constantin Film is also developing a new Resident Evil series for Netflix, which will tell a brand new story with a total of 6 episodes. The series will not be related to previous Resident Evil adaptations. The first episode will delve into the origins of the global infection and lay the foundation for the series' narrative. The script has been approved and is expected to start shooting in 2025.

This new Resident Evil series is set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by the T-virus and revolves around Sophia Marcus, the daughter of James Marcus, who seeks revenge for her father and searches Europe for an antiviral drug. After learning that her father was cloned, she embarks on a revenge campaign. The series will feature zombies, lickers, spiders, hunters and chainsaw men, as well as new zombies that use machine guns and bazookas.
