"Avatar 2" resumed filming in New Zealand on the first day of the set photos exposed

According to foreign media IndieWire today (June 17), "Avatar 2", which was suspended due to the epidemic, has officially resumed filming in New Zealand. "Avatar 2" producer Jon Landau said that after discussing with director James Cameron, "Avatar 2" has begun reshooting.

He also shared photos from the first day of filming and revealed that 400 local employees were hired in New Zealand and the filming would take five months. The cost alone was as high as 70 million US dollars!

Some crew members can be seen from the photos, but each staff member maintained a "safe distance", after all, the crew members were still in quarantine.

Avatar 2, directed by James Cameron, will be released in North America on December 17, 2021. The next three sequels are expected to be released in 2023, 2025, and 2027. But whether the fourth and fifth sequels will be released depends on the box office performance of 2 and 3. Avatar stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver will all return to 2 and continue to play their roles in the previous film.
