'Chernobyl' director to direct 'The Last of Us' TV pilot

The TV series "The Last of Us" will be produced by HBO. In May of this year, HBO announced that game producer Neil Druckmann will work with "Chernobyl" screenwriter Craig Mazin to adapt the TV version of "The Last of Us". Recently, Johan Renck, the director of "Chernobyl" and "Breaking Bad", revealed that he is the executive producer of the show and will direct at least the pilot episode.

Johan Renck, the director of Chernobyl, said that he would first direct the pilot episode of the TV series version of The Last of Us, and then see how things go. He said: "It's great to work with Craig again. We both like working with each other."

The game's producer, Neil Druckmann, said he was a fan of Chernobyl and that he had learned a lot from working with screenwriter Craig Mazin, which was also very interesting. With the support of HBO, the relevant work went smoothly. Because motion capture technology was used in the production of the game, Neil Druckmann actually had some basic experience in making TV series.

Currently, the broadcast time of the HBO TV series "The Last of Us" is to be determined, and the PS4 exclusive game "The Last of Us 2" will be officially released on June 19.
