Popular boys' manga "Monster No. 8" releases main animation PV to start broadcasting in April next year

The manga "Monster No. 8" created by Naoya Matsumoto began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump+" in July 2020, becoming the fastest manga in the history of Shonen Jump+ to exceed 30 million readings and the fastest cumulative circulation to exceed 4 million copies.

The official recently released the main animation PV on the YouTube channel and announced in the title that the animation will begin broadcasting in April 2024.

The story of "Monster No. 8" mainly tells the story of Japan, where the appearance rate of monsters is second to none. Monsters ruthlessly ravage the country and trample on people's daily lives.

The protagonist Kafka Hibino, who once aspired to be a member of the defense team and now works as a monster cleaner, is affected by a mysterious creature one day and his body begins to transform into a monster. The Japanese defense team, who is responsible for defeating monsters, calls him "Monster No. 8".

It is reported that the animation of "Monster No. 8" is produced by TOHO animation STUDIO, with Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya as supervisors, Ichiro Okouchi in charge of script production, Tetsuya Nishio as character designer and chief animation supervisor, and Mahiro Maeda as the monster designer.

In addition, the voice actor for the protagonist Kafka Hibino (Monster No. 8) is Katsuya Fukunishi, and the voice actor for the heroine Mina Ashiro is Asami Seto.
