Marvel CEO once wanted to kill all six members of the original Avengers and put them in the incinerator

A new book about the behind-the-scenes stories of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe," says that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige once proposed to "kill all six members of the original Avengers" - Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye - in "Avengers 4," instead of having Black Widow and Iron Man die one after another in the final film.

The book revealed that "Avengers 4" director Joe Russo revealed that "Kevin's initial proposal was to do it like Toy Story 3, with the concept of 'everyone jumping into the furnace together'". The Russo brothers objected, arguing that the film did not have enough time to pay tribute to these characters one by one, and that fans would not be able to digest and accept such a scene after watching the film.

"Avengers 4: End Game" was released in mainland China on April 24, 2019, and in the United States on April 26, 2019. "Avengers 4" is the movie with the highest net profit in history, with a total production cost of US$899 million and a global box office of US$2.79 billion.
