Voice actor Hiro Masuoka died of illness at the age of 83. He once voiced Master Kame in Dragon Ball GT

Today, March 26, the Tokyo Voice Actor Life Cooperative announced that its veteran voice actor Hiroshi Masuoka was diagnosed with rectal cancer and died in the early morning of March 21 at the age of 83.

· Hiroshi Masuoka is a Japanese male voice actor, born in Saitama Prefecture in 1936. He is currently affiliated with the Tokyo Actor Life Cooperative Office. He performed many works during his lifetime, including Kame-sennin (2nd generation) in Dragon Ball Z, Kame-sennin in Dragon Ball GT, Itao Nobita in Ninja Rantaro, Nobuo Iwama and Ryutoku Genda in Detective Conan, etc.

·Among them, he is particularly well-known in Japan for his 41-year performance as the husband of "Sazae-san", Taroko Fugu. Another long-lived work is Grandpa Jam in "Anpanman", which he dubbed for 31 years. In 2018, he won the 12th Japan Voice Actor Lifetime Achievement Award.
