Altered Carbon’s story excels in the action department, but neglects to fully showcase the anime’s main characters in a way that has a lasting impact. This gorgeous CGI animation gets great results in its bloody action scenes, and the whole thing is easy to follow at just under 75 minutes, but it’s certainly not as exciting as its live-action counterpart, Altered Carbon.
