Star Trek 4 is coming? Paramount is in final talks with director

According to DeadLine's exclusive report, Paramount is in final negotiations with Noah Hawley (screenwriter of Fargo and Our Generation), and if a contract is reached, the latter will write and direct a new Star Trek 4 movie. The new generation of Star Trek, or the Kelvin timeline, started with the reboot Star Trek directed by JJ Abrams in 2009, and the sequels Star Trek 2: Into Darkness and Star Trek 3: Beyond were released in 2013 and 2016 respectively.

It is reported that the new generation of actors may all return, including Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Zoe Saldana returning to play Uhura, Simon Pegg returning to play Scott, and Karl Urban may return to play Bones.

Unfortunately, Anton Yelchin, who played Chekov and was loved by the audience for his unique accent and lovely acting skills, passed away in a car accident on the eve of the release of the third film "Beyond the Stars". We will no longer be able to see him in the new "Star Trek 4".

Since it is still in the negotiation stage, no information such as subtitle, release window, investment amount, etc. has been leaked yet.
