Netflix's cyberpunk sci-fi series "Altered Carbon" released the first official trailer for the second season today, with Chinese subtitles. "Falcon" actor Anthony Mackie replaced the first season's male lead Joel Kinnaman and played the new version of Takeshi Kovacs, which is scheduled to air on February 27. Netflix said that Altered Carbon Season 2 takes place 30 years after the events of Season 1. In Season 2, Kovacs embarks on a centuries-long quest to find his lost love, Quellcrist Falconer. After spending decades traveling between planets and searching the galaxy, Kovacs finds himself hired to return to his home planet, Harlan's World, with the hope of finding Quell. Haunted by his past, Kovacs investigates a series of brutal murders and is surprised to discover his quest to solve the crimes and his pursuit to find Quill are actually two sides of the same coin. With the help of his loyal artificial intelligence, Poe, and new allies, Kovacs must outwit his enemies and discover the truth: Who is Quill Falconer? Based on the classic cyberpunk novel by Richard K. Morgan, Altered Carbon is a story of murder, sex and betrayal set more than 300 years in the future, where society has been transformed by new technologies: consciousness can be digitized, bodies can be swapped and death is no longer a permanent state. The protagonist Takeshi Kovacs is the sole survivor of an elite interstellar army that was defeated in an uprising against the New World Order. Kovacs' mind was trapped in ice for centuries until Laurens Bancroft, an extremely wealthy and long-lived man, gave him a chance to live again. In exchange, Kovacs must solve a murder case: the murder of Bancroft. After the end of the first season, the new season follows the settings of the original sequels of "Altered Carbon", "Broken Angels" and "Woken Furies", continuing the story with the same soul but different prostheses. Therefore, Anthony Mackie replaces the original protagonist Joel Kinnaman and plays Takeshi Kovacs with a new look. Returning cast members from the first season include Renée Elise Goldsberry as Quill, Chris Conner as Poe, and Will Yun Lee as Kovacs. Stills: Video Screen: |
