The producer of the TV series "The Witcher" responded to the doubts about the adaptation of the series: We never make adaptations hastily

Netflix's "The Witcher" TV series has received widespread acclaim after it was broadcast, and its score on iMDb even rose to the first place on the entire site. Of course, while receiving praise, it has also received a lot of criticism and doubts. Recently, "The Witcher" TV series producer Lauren Hissrich responded to these doubts on Twitter.

In a tweet posted by Lauren Hissrich, she wrote: "Love what's happening in the Witcher world these days." Under this tweet, fans expressed dissatisfaction with some changes in the first season, saying that the TV series deleted plot points. TV series producer Lauren Hissrich responded to this.

Lauren Hissrich tweeted: I see your opinion, and we had a heated debate about it. Here's why we adapted: Adapting short stories that were important to the show's world building, and then adapting Geralt and Ciri's multiple meetings in the second book of the novel "The Fateful Sword", which means we won't introduce Ciri until Season 2 at the earliest.

Lauren Hissrich then wrote: This may be confusing: forget about hunting monsters. Put away whatever you've been reading for the past two or three years. Because of that little girl you just met? She is the key to the entire universe and will be the center of almost every story that follows.

Finally, Lauren Hissrich spoke of their difficulties: As screenwriters, we understand that fans are dissatisfied with our adaptations, even if we make the reasons for the adaptation clear, which is good. We have to make some difficult choices (when adapting), and the choices we make are not necessarily right every time, but the most important thing for me is to let fans know that we never make these decisions rashly, never.

Netflix's The Witcher has been renewed for season 2 and will begin filming on February 17, 2020.
