ABC says Baby Yoda looks like a "sick cat" and is slammed by netizens

After the release of the "Star Wars" spin-off "The Mandalorian", the new image "Baby Yoda" in the play can be said to have become popular all over the world. However, recently, a statement made by the American Broadcasting Corporation ABC caused complaints from American netizens.

On Wednesday (December 25), the official Twitter account of ABC News shared a story about a rescued kitten that went viral because people thought the kitten looked like the popular "Baby Yoda." According to ABC, the kitten became famous earlier this month when a veterinary assistant named Jenna Ivers shared a photo of the kitten at Cabarrus Animal Hospital in Kannapolis, North Carolina. The kitten was an injured stray cat that was found and brought to the rescue. The cat's distinctive feature is a pair of very large ears. So it got the nickname "Yoda Cat."

A rescued kitten that gets a lot of goodwill is a heartwarming thing, especially during the Christmas holidays, but that's not what's causing the outrage among fans. The kitten has been compared to "Baby Yoda" from "The Mandalorian," which has caused dissatisfaction among fans, as most people don't think the kitten looks like "Baby Yoda" from "The Mandalorian."

Many of the comments under ABC's tweet pointed out that people don't really see the resemblance between the cat and "Baby Yoda". Some comments pointed out that the only real similarities between the kitten and "Baby Yoda" are their big eyes and big ears, but other than that, they are not close at all. Some people pointed out that the kitten does, in fact, remind them of someone else - Dobby the elf from Harry Potter. Some people even noticed that the kitten looks more like Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver in "Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker" than "Baby Yoda".
