Details of Marvel's "Eternals" revealed, the story covers seven thousand years

The film "Eternals" that Marvel is planning is undoubtedly a key film in Phase 4. This is not only because the Eternals are brand new characters in the Marvel Universe, but also because this group of characters is the strongest race in the universe in the Marvel Comics sequence, the Celestials.

Regarding the story of the film, Kevin Feige said: "There will be 7,000 years of stories to tell, and different characters will go into different eras. If you have a movie called 'Eternity', you may not just tell a story in one weekend. This will show how unusual they are in Marvel's story."

In the comics, the legend of the Eternals can be traced back to millions of years ago, when alien creatures called the Celestials (who appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy) conducted a large number of genetic experiments on humans and created two types of human offspring, one of which is the immortal creatures with superpowers, the Eternals, and the other is the deformed Deviants. The two races established their own societies and operated in areas unknown to humans. The characters involved in the Eternals include Ikaris, who possesses cosmic energy, Sersi, who is active in human society as an artist, and Thena, who is mistaken for the Greek goddess Athena. It is worth mentioning that Thanos, the current super villain of the Marvel Universe, is a descendant of the Eternals. From this point of view, Marvel's fourth season will be even more grand.

The Celestials are a race of gods created by the God of Creation of the Marvel Universe. They are above humans and cosmic life, can ignore all cosmic laws, and tamper with basic concepts at will. They are creators and God-like beings. They can create a galaxy or a planet at will, and create life and environment for these planets; this also means that they can erase, eliminate, and destroy any planet or galaxy they create at will.

The tone that Marvel has set for the film is to shoot it in the style of Guardians of the Galaxy. The director of the film is Zhao Ting. Choosing Zhao Ting to direct this superhero movie is a relatively risky decision, but it is definitely exciting. After all, different directors will bring more different colors to Marvel. Zhao Ting's favorite director Ang Lee has filmed the story of the Hulk, so Marvel has always had its own arrangements and plans in choosing directors.

According to the plan, this film will be Marvel's 25th film, and its release date is scheduled for November 6, 2020.
