Creating a dark universe? Universal Pictures will shoot "The Invisible Woman"

Although the movie "The Invisible Man" has not yet been released, Universal is very determined to expand its dark universe. It is reported that Universal is developing "The Invisible Woman", and the producer has confirmed the director and star of the film, which is Elizabeth Banks, whose career has been very successful in recent years.

As early as 1940, Universal filmed "The Invisible Woman", which was developed as a sequel to "The Invisible Man" and "The Return of the Invisible Man". The leading actress at that time was Virginia Bruce. Currently, Banks has chosen Erin Cressida Wilson to write the script. This female screenwriter has written scripts for films such as "The Girl on the Train" and "Chloe". Obviously, Universal not only wants to develop a dark universe, but also let women become the leading force.

The Invisible Man, which has yet to be released, is another film that focuses on female characters. Elizabeth Moss plays Cecilia, who is caught in a romantic relationship with a wealthy, controlling and violent genius scientist.

According to the newly released storyline, the film will no longer be told with the invisible man as the protagonist, but will be told from a female perspective. It can be said that this will be a gender-reversed film with a strong horror feel.

The new version of "The Invisible Woman" will carry the female characters and the female team to the end. The film has no plot synopsis yet, but some media speculate that this may be the same as "The Invisible Man", a film about a woman who can't stand the trouble of domestic violence and eventually takes the path of resistance.

Currently, there is no filming or release schedule for The Invisible Woman.
