DreamWorks Animation to create movies and TV series based on video games

Get ready for more movies and TV shows based on your favorite video games! DreamWorks Animation (Shrek the Monsters, Kung Fu Panda, and the How to Train Your Dragon franchise) has partnered with Story Kitchen to bring more gaming IP to the big screen.

The new deal will give DreamWorks Animation a "sneak peek" option for any future video game IP acquired by Story Kitchen, Deadline reports.

Story Kitchen is currently developing a Vampire Survivor animated series and a live-action film for The Haunted Cop. Both of these are already in production and therefore are not part of the new agreement.

Regarding what works DreamWorks will produce, Deadline mentioned in its report that "follow-up news is expected soon."

Story Kitchen said in its partnership announcement that they are "extremely excited to be working with DreamWorks Animation as SK's first official film partner since its founding in 2022."
