Casting Completed, Halo TV Series Now in Production

The "Halo" series produced by Showtime has now officially entered production, and the list of actors participating in the show, including Danny Sapani, Olive Gray and Charlie Murphy, has also been announced.

The news that Halo will be made into a TV series has been announced for more than a year, but the early preparation stage did not seem to be smooth, and the director and executive producer had been replaced. However, today, Showtime confirmed that the Halo TV series is on track and has officially entered the production stage, and also confirmed the casting of the three protagonists.

Danny Sapani, known for Penny Dreadful and Hustlers, will play Captain Jacob Keyes, a character who has appeared in Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo: Reach. His daughter is Dr. Miranda Keyes, who will also appear in the show. Dr. Miranda Keyes is played by Olive Gray, known for Half Moon Investigations Season 1. Finally, actor Charlie Murphy, known for Peaky Blinders, will play Makee, an orphan raised by the Covenant.

Previously, the casting of Master Chief and Cortana had also been completed. At this point, the casting of all the main characters has been completed. To celebrate this milestone, the official Twitter account of the Halo series released a group photo of all the main actors.

This "Halo" series is expected to premiere in 2021. If it can be filmed smoothly now, perhaps the broadcast plan can proceed as expected. However, Showtime has not yet announced the premiere date of the series.
